Ender 3, SKR 1.3 and TMC2208 UART

For anyone who is in interest, here are the complete Marlin 2.0 (Dated 25.05.2019) firmware for the Hardware combination:

  1. Ender 3
  2. BigTreeTech SKR 1.3
  3. TMC2208 UART Mode

Flashing the 32Bit ARM SKR Board is very simple, just drop the “firmware.bin” binary on a Micro SD card, push it in the slot on the mainboard, start your printer, wait and done.

Xiaomi Mi5 Cyanogenmod 13

mi5I got one of this very nice mobiles. Snapdragon 820, 3GB RAM, 32GB Storage and all of this with a tiny pricetag of around 350 Euro (Shopped from Honorbuy). The only thing i don’t like is the Miui ROM…. typical chinese features and a iOS like UI, hey i bought a Android!

So the “Level Zen” Developers 😉 from XDA came together and created the Device Tree for it – There is no kernel source released so far, so they have to use the prebuild Xiaomi kernel.

Disclamer: I only show you how to use that device tree to build a fully working ROM! If you want to donate, you directly should do it to the developers of the device tree! My programming skills are way to low to contribute code :/

If you trust me, you can download my daily, weekly or whatever builds (Depends on how often the device tree and / or Cyanogenmod gets updates) directly from > here < and install it via TWRP.

In case somebody wants to build Cyanogenmod 13 for it, keep reading! But before get a fast and large  (!) cloud instance or bare metal server! It takes ages to compile when you don’t have a powerful host! I can recommend Vultr for it. I won’t cover the Ubuntu installation here, you should already know that.

  1. Do a openssh only installation of Ubuntu 16.04
  2. Login with your created user and let’s begin!

Be careful: XCodeGhost Malware

xghost

As the title says, be careful where you download Apple Patches or, this case, XCode. There is a interesting article about a modified XCode floating around in china: XCodeGhost

Our downloads here should be free of “injections” from 3rd party. But you’ll never know, so please check the signature of your downloads every time you download it from somewhere else then Apple.

Using betas in stable Yosemite (10.10)

Apples-OS-X-YosemiteJust a short tip for everyone who needs access to betas without a developer account. The follow command brings back access to regular beta downloads via the AppStore!

Just replace the Catalog URL with:

sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate CatalogURL https://swscan.apple.com/content/catalogs/others/index-10.10beta-10.10-10.9-mountainlion-lion-snowleopard-leopard.merged-1.sucatalog.gz

Windows 7 ISO with VirtIO drivers

If somebody needs it, i’ve made a ISO image of Windows 7 with SP1 and VirtIO drivers integrated. Some Cloud hosters needs the VirtIO drivers for the storage. You can install Windows 7 on Vultr with this image. Keep in mind this is a german language ISO, but you can install language packs after the installation.

Big Beta news from Apple!

Bildschirmfoto 2014-04-23 um 07.26.31Thats surprising… if you not already read it on the web, Apple opened the Beta Seeds to the public! At least for Mavericks it’s now possible to get the betas a legal way direct from Apple without any Developer restrictions! Never thought i’d live to see this day!

More info here: https://appleseed.apple.com/sp/betaprogram

Side note: Please install the latest OS X security update 2014-002 as soon as possible, some serious bugs are fixed!

Golden Mavericks Times…

mavericksIt’s time folks, it’s time… here at ./Shade.sh we’re celebrating today golden times. The Golden Times of Mavericks! This time a Torrent has been created, because i have not enough resources to cover the bandwidth. If the download via HTTP mirror is to slow for you and you can do torrent, download it via torrent, it’s well seeded at the moment.

Have fun and let me know how good and how bad it runs!

Arch Linux – Linux-Mainline (Mirror)

arch-linux-logoHey folks, i have mirrored the (sometimes) very slow download host of “arch.miffe.org” which has the linux-mainline kernel package for Arch Linux for both architectures (i686 and x86_64).

So if anybody out there needs the mainline kernel and also had problems with the arch.miffe.org host, you can also use this server string:

http://mirror1.shade.sh/arch.miffe.org/$arch

in your pacman.conf (or Mirrorlist or wherever you have it on your arch setup). The updates are running every day.
