Just a short tip for everyone who needs access to betas without a developer account. The follow command brings back access to regular beta downloads via the AppStore!
Just replace the Catalog URL with:
sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate CatalogURL https://swscan.apple.com/content/catalogs/others/index-10.10beta-10.10-10.9-mountainlion-lion-snowleopard-leopard.merged-1.sucatalog.gz
Have fun!

I tried pasting that into terminal, which it let me. Once I confirmed with my password, nothing changed.
Can someone please explain how this works? I’ve tried pasting it into Terminal twice and still don’t see the betas. ð¯

use 10.10seed instead 10.10beta
then you’ll be able to download the last 10.10.2 betas

sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate CatalogURL https://swscan.apple.com/content/catalogs/others/index-10.10XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX-10.10-10.9-mountainlion-lion-snowleopard-leopard.merged-1.sucatalog.gzThe 10.10.2 is very buggy. I canât recommend it. Stay at 10.10.1
For the regular SoftwareUpdateCatalog use:
sudo softwareupdate âclear-catalogSame here. No nes betas show up even though my settings are correct:
$ sudo softwareupdate --clear-catalog
softwareupdate: Changed catalog to Apple production
$ softwareupdate -l
Software Update Tool

The Latest Beta is the 10.10.2 Build 14C81h.
Make sure you havent installed it already.
