Oh look who’s here – 10.8.5 Beta Build 12F9

mountainThe next release update party begins right now. Apple released the first Beta Build of 10.8.5! With the last update Apple eliminated the very annoying bug with the blue tinted screen on graphic card switching, i hope this is still fixed on that build…

As always, for you, for testing, be happy!

Could you please explain what does not work exactly? I have the same type of computer and computer goes to sleep/off as intended and time and date works as it should. Did you try resetting SMC/NVRAM (PRAM)?

  7. Problems on Mac Pro (Early 2008)

    Hi Boyz ‘n Girlz,

I discovered 2 really nasty bugs in Build 12F9: 👿

Bug #1: The system doesn’t wake up after it wet to hibernation mode. No matter what I try (SPACEBAR, Mouseclick) not even when I try to press the slowly pulsing Powerbutton. The only way to revive the system is to hold the Powerbutton 5 seconds to hard reset the SMC.

Bug #2: Pluging a HDMI Cable in the GFX-Card while running is freezing the System. I verified this on a Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 MAC Edition and on a nVIDIA GT640.

I not sure why they even started to make a new build 10.8.5 ?!? 🙄
10.8.4 was running great and stable and 10.9 Mavericks is almost ready to get off the starting blocks…

    Anyways… Have a nice day!
